Anthony Campopiano
Founder, Italy With Bella
Anthony Campopiano’s connection to Italy began long before Italy With Bella existed. Anthony is an Italian-American dual-citizen whose family is from Carserta/Southern Italy. Italy was never simply a destination. It was part of his identity.
Years later, while working full-time in IT, Anthony and his wife Denise purchased a home in Umbria. What began as hosting friends and sharing thoughtful recommendations quickly evolved into something more meaningful. He realized that what he loved most was not simply visiting Italy, but helping others experience it in a way that felt personal, immersive, and deeply rooted in culture. Today, Anthony lives in Franklin, Tennessee with Denise. They have been married for over two decades and are proud parents and grandparents, but Italy remains a central thread woven through their family story.
As Founder of Italy With Bella, Anthony oversees the vision and curation behind every bespoke Italian itinerary. He works closely with clients to understand not just where they want to go, but why. From milestone anniversaries and multi-generational family journeys to retirement celebrations and heritage trips, Anthony designs custom travel experiences that are structured, seamless, and never rushed.
He also maintains close relationships with Italy With Bella’s on-the-ground concierge team in Italy ensuring that each trip flows beautifully from arrival to departure. His background in systems and logistics gives him a rare advantage in travel planning. Every train connection, private transfer, boutique hotel, and guided experience is selected with precision and purpose.
Anthony travels to Italy multiple times each year, personally vetting hotels, Airbnbs, restaurants, drivers, and local guides throughout the country. His expertise spans Tuscany, Umbria, Rome, the Amalfi Coast, Sicily, and Northern Italy, but he is especially passionate about helping travelers balance iconic destinations with authentic, lesser-known experiences.
He understands how to pace a ten-day itinerary across three cities without fatigue. He knows when to schedule a private Vatican tour and when to leave space for wandering a quiet piazza at dusk. His insight into regional culture, transportation logistics, and seasonal rhythms allows clients to travel confidently and comfortably.
Ask Anthony about his favorite time to visit Italy and he will likely say September or October, when the summer heat softens and the energy shifts into harvest season. He never misses the opportunity to linger over an unhurried dinner, where conversation flows as easily as the wine. And no matter where he is in Italy, he seeks out the moments that feel unpolished and real: a neighborhood trattoria, a morning espresso at the bar, a spontaneous conversation with a local shopkeeper.
For Anthony, planning travel to Italy is not about checking boxes. It is about creating space for connection. He believes Italy invites people to slow down, gather around the table, and remember what matters most.
At Italy With Bella, every journey is an investment in memory, family, and joy. And Anthony considers it a privilege to help clients experience Italy not as tourists, but as welcomed guests.
Denise Campopiano
Founder, Chief Operating Officer
Denise lives in Franklin, Tennessee with her husband and co-founder Anthony. Her affection for Italy began when she traveled to her great-grandparents' birthplaces in Rome, Sicily and Campania. She eventually learned that her great grandmother emigrated to America following the devastating 1908 earthquake in Messina, Sicily. Denise often thinks about how meaningful it is to have journeyed back four generations to the land her family left. What an eye - opening realization of how deeply Italy impacts many people's past and present stories.
Two decades later, Denise leads an expert team of travel specialists at Italy With Bella, the company she founded alongside her husband. Her extensive knowledge of Italy travel, combined with her natural teaching style, provides a strong foundation for both the US and Italian team. Denise's methods and careful planning have set the standard for each trip.
A researcher to the core, Denise's wide knowledge of Italy stems from her many travels in the country, north to south. While an expert in the regions of Umbria & Tuscany, her specialty is creating stress-free, rich family experiences in Italy. She loves to consider each person on the trip and ensure the experience exceeds expectations.
A favorite getaway in Italy for Denise would be peaceful rides along the coast in Tropea in June, swimming in the crystal-clear, turquoise waters, eating the unique Calabrian meals of the area and then skipping over to the Aeolian Islands to hike, swim, explore nature, enjoy wine, and take in the jaw-dropping scenery. Always finishing each and every day people-watching in a beautiful spot before dinner.
These days, Denise's purpose while traveling in Italy involves searching for just the right lodging, locating the quality restaurants and testing all kinds of experiences. She knows how rewarding is to return home with exciting news for the team and to provide clients with the best experience Italy can offer.
