Dante
Travel Advisor
Now based in Columbia, Tennessee, Dante was raised in an Italian American family in Rhode Island. It was there that food, family, and authenticity were foundational to daily life. A dual citizen of the United States and Italy, Dante has traveled between the two countries since childhood. Some of his earliest memories involve wandering historic, walled towns with his family, absorbing the rhythm of daily life and the distinct personality of each place. Exploring Italy at a young age sparked the creativity and detail he carries into his work today.
As a Travel Advisor with Italy With Bella, Dante specializes in thoughtfully building custom itineraries and assisting clients with travel insurance to ensure every detail is carefully covered. He designs trips for newlyweds, milestone celebrations, and multigenerational families alike—balancing the expectations of well-seasoned travelers with the needs of those experiencing international travel for the first time. Clear communication and organized detail are central to his approach, allowing him to serve as a seamless connection between clients and the broader Italy With Bella team.
Dante’s Italy expertise is rooted in deep familiarity with the northern lake regions, Tuscany, and Umbria. Cities he knows and loves include Florence, Riva del Garda, Venice, Panicale, and Palermo. Traveling to Italy a couple of times each year allows him to stay current on logistics, evolving touristic landscapes, and standout dining and cocktail scenes. He has a particular talent for uncovering memorable meals and exceptional cocktail bars—places where atmosphere, craftsmanship, and local energy intersect.
When it comes to personal favorites, Dante’s preferences are simple and consistent. If beef tartare appears on a menu, it is always his first choice. Early Spring is his favorite time to visit Italy, before the crowds pick up, when the weather is warm, and daily life moves at an unhurried pace. One of his favorite rituals is settling into Piazza San Frediano in Lucca with a negroni, people-watching before dinner—an experience he considers essential to Italian life.
Helping others travel to Italy is deeply meaningful to Dante, as it allows him to share a culture that has shaped who he is. He hopes clients can experience a world rich with history, remarkable food, and breathtaking landscapes, as he has. But more than anything, Dante wants them to encounter Italy’s ability to slow time—to savor each moment and embrace life one experience at a time.
